Unfortunately, StoryImprov has a boring businessy side. That's the part about hosting and advertising and making money. It really is terribly nerdy, so let's do this quickly and get back to writing. Here are some givens...
1. We intend to continue to let StoryImprov be a safe, entertaining, and sometimes unintentionally educational creative outlet on the web.
2. Doing that isn't free.
3. StoryImprov is a for-profit business. Donating to us is nothing like donating to cure cancer. In fact, cancer recently touched one of our leadership team, so if you'd rather donate to cure cancer than to us, we wouldn't mind that one bit.
4. All of that being said, if you've enjoyed the StoryImprov experiment, feel free to donate to help offset our operating expenses. We can't offer you any special thing, except our sincere thanks. Thank you for being a part of our story.
