This time, I'm going back to Dark Waters. The very first sentence ever posted at StoryImprov.

You might even think that this was the pinnacle of the site. The momentary peak prior to the fall that started with sentence 2.

You can make it better. Give your best next three sentences.

"Sail, ho!" the watchman shouted from the crow's nest high in the riggings at the top of the mast.
